Late Mother’s Day post~~~
Spent 2011 Mother’s Day with Melody and her son Andrew in the afternoon and Jason for Thor. Had an awesome day! Thor was a kick ass movie too.
Had dim sum at Golden Unicorn and then took Melody and Andrew on the Zephyr boat from South Street Seaport. Had a funny tour guide which was cool. Got an awesome pic of a robot attacking Lady Liberty…LOL
Thor was a pretty good movie. Thor’s accent was dead on. Plus Portman did a pretty good job in not being Princess…lol
hahahahahah
What do you get when you bring James Bond, Indiana Jones and 13 all together?
One weird looking but seemingly kick ass movie???? Who cares about the storyline…I’ll go just to see how they pull this all off…
interesting shopping experience

Incipio Feather Ultra Thin Case for iPod Touch 4th Gen Review
Like most gadget lovers, I too love to keep my precious gadgets in pristine condition. Most of the time I get a screen protector and some form of sleeve or case for my gadgets. I like my cases as small and thin as possible but also have it provide reasonable amount of protection for the gadget. That’s why I’ve chosen Incipio’s Feather Ultra Thin Case for my new iPod Touch 4th Gen.
The package includes the Feather Ultra Thin Case, 2 stick on screen protectors, a cleaning cloth and a small applicator card for removing bubbles.
The Feather has cut-outs for the power, volume, rear camera and a bigger cut-out for the dock connector, 3.5mm jack and speaker.
This picture shows the Feather Ultra Thin Case already put onto the iPod Touch. Barely there right?
The bottom has a bigger cut-out for dock connect, 3.5mm jack and speaker.
The hole for the camera is big enough to include the mic also.

On the left is the iPod Touch 4th Gen with the Feather Ultra Thin Case and on the right is the iPod Touch 3rd Gen with the Feather Ultra Thin Case. Yes, I love the iPod Touch 3rd Gen to even get the 4th Gen.
The Feather measures less than 1mm thick and come in 8 colors. It’s priced at $24.99 direct from Incipio. I highly recommend this case since it does provide great protection for the back of the iPod Touch. Plus at 1mm thick, it doesn’t add any bulk to the slick iPod Touch.
Only took them 14 years….lol
Five Actresses Up For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Roles
With both Katie Holmes and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Rachel Dawes officially off the table, Batman is suddenly in the market for a new leading lady. Looks like he’s about to get more than he bargained for.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a short list of five actresses vying for the leading lady roles in "The Dark Knight Rises," Christopher Nolan’s third and allegedly final Batman film. That’s right, there are two leading ladies in the Caped Crusader’s next cinematic outing — one a hero, one a villain.
According to THR, the five actresses in contention are Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Beil, Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley.
Knightley is best known for her work as Elizabeth Swann in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, and she also had a bit part in the "Star Wars" prequels, while Hathaway starred as the White Queen in last year’s "Alice in Wonderland." Both Biel and Mara are already comfortable in comic book territory, having starred in "Blade Trinity" and "Iron Man 2" respectively. Riley, on the other hand, has an inside advantage over her competitors as she’s engaged to Tom Hardy, who was previously cast in "The Dark Knight Rises."
One of the roles they’re allegedly vying for is reported to be Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of Liam Neeson’s Ra’s Al Ghul from "Batman Begins." A frequent lover of Batman’s and the eventual mother of his child, Talia is even more deadly than she is seductive.
The other role is unknown other than its status as "a love interest." Perhaps we’re judging prematurely, but it seems that the cat is out of the bag — in other words, perhaps Catwoman isn’t a shoe-in for "The Dark Knight Rises" after all.

~~~xmas 2010 gifts given so far~~~
So everyone was curious on what riddles they got for xmas. And of course figure out the keywords on how to solve them. This year it wasn’t that hard and the riddles didn’t much rhyme that much. Was so busy and came up with them on the last minute. Keywords are in bold.
Eric
It’s a class that you don’t teach,
About a saber you can’t reach.
It’s a fruit that fell through the air,
Onto Sir Isaac Newton’s hair.
With only one look,
I’m sure you’ll love those books.
PS. One book that can’t bare the cold,
So it’s best to bring it into the household.
Answer: MacBook Air and The Jedi Path
Your "imaginary" friend says hi,
And you might wonder why.
It’s here on this cold Sunday afternoon,
That your son wonders why you woke him up so soon.
A gift that’s certainly is no genius,
By the guy whom you just met here at Celsius.
It sparkles so bright,
Making you smile with delight.
Answer: Swarovski Pen
Andrew
Mom has woke you up this Sunday morning,
To meet a friend that’s trying to be amusing.
Listening to the riddles you might think,
Won’t it be simpler to just uplink.
The answer might be quicker with an encyclopedia,
But isn’t that such a big media?
This present that you will get soon,
Will surely make you smart as a tycoon.
Answer: WikiReader
Hannah
Riddle riddle, not this again,
This is starting to hurt the brain.
I’ve bought gifts for you before,
And I hope this one you’ll adore.
Next year is your marriage,
Let’s all remember you on your carriage.
A video of you in the wedding dress would be nice,
To you, this gift is worth the price.
Answer: Sanyo Camcorder
Liz
What should I get you that’s iPod free,
For that xmas card last year had a great tree.
So this year let’s add in some code,
And accessorize it with a diode.
Happy as you may be,
To be able to control further than thee.
One two three four,
These are the channels that I amour.
Answer: iPod touch accessory Flpr Remote
Jackie’s Wish List and Gift Suggestions
It’s that time of year again. The time to give and receive our favorite gifts and the dreaded sweaters from relatives. Searching for the perfect gift for your friends and family is a chore since we always want to find gifts that loved ones will actually use and love. That’s why we’re here to give you some suggestions.
Things that you should get for your loved ones this holiday season:
For the reader, I would suggest Amazon’s Kindle. It’s the perfect reading device for your favorite reader. Carry all the books that you can ever read in its light weight design. And the plus side is that you can purchase books wherever you are, even globally. It starts at $139 for the wifi version and $189 for the wifi + 3G.
For the music lover, the iPod Touch 4th Generation would be the best gift for them. You can’t argue with having one of the most popular mp3 devices of all time. Another plus would be the thousands of apps that’s available to extend the functionality of the iPod Touch. The iPod Touch starts at $229 for the 8GB version.
For the gamer, I would suggest getting them the Kinect for Xbox 360 or the Move for PS3. These add-on accessories will give the gamer another dimension of gameplay. The Kinect costs $149 while the Move costs $99.
Things that I wish I could get this holiday season:
Most of the time I like to get things that are related to my business since that’s my passion. So for the studio I would like to get the new Sony NEX-VG10 Camcorder with the interchangeable lens. It has professional class functionality without the extreme professional cost of owning it at $1,999.
For my design office, I would like to get the HP Slate 500 since the iPad is just not quite up to the task in the professional world. The HP Slate 500 runs Windows 7 which would make running business applications easier. Too bad it’s backordered until next year. It’s priced at $799.
For the store, I would like to upgrade my existing security camera with Logitech’s Alert Security Camera. Currently I use the WiLife’s Security Cameras, which got bought off by Logitech and replaced with the Alert Cameras. Logitech’s Alert Camera systems provide better quality and functionality over the older cameras. The cameras start at $299 each.
We at The Gadgeteer wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday season!!
WaterField iPad Exo SleeveCase Review
Ask any iPad owner and they will tell you that taking good care of the iPad is their number one priority. I’m sure many iPad owners have a microfiber cloth to wipe down the “fingerprint magnet” screen and some sort of protective back cover or sleeve to protect the “scratch magnet” backing. As for myself, I have done all that but I’ve always wanted something with a bit more protection since I take my iPad in and out of the office daily. That’s where WaterField’s iPad Exo SleeveCase comes in.
WaterField’s bags are famous for the ability to customize a perfect bag for yourself. Most of their bags and sleeves allow for customization in trim style, orientation, options for a strap or d-rings, and the ability to add a piggyback pouch. I was sent the horizontal iPad Exo SleeveCase with the leather trim.
The leather trim has quite a smooth shiny surface to it. It’s sewn on nicely with no loose threading.
In the bottom of the Exo SleeveCase is a loop strap that goes from the front to the back where the leather trim starts and ends. The loop strap is put there so you can hook your finger through it while pulling out the iPad. Not sure if it was really necessary to include the loop strap since it’s relatively easy to remove the iPad out of the sleeve without the loop strap.
On the back of the Exo SleeveCase is a back pocket for slim items like the sync cable or headphones. It’s a very tight fit for the iPad charging adaptor though. I usually carry some papers around with me in that pocket.
Protecting the iPad inside is the high-grade neoprene that wraps the iPad on all sides. The outer layer of the Exo SleeveCase is made of ballistic nylon.
The Exo SleeveCase has enough room to accommodate a naked iPad or an iPad with the Apple Sleeve or a similar protective sleeve. Currently I have an iPad with Newer Technology Clear Case, which still fits in the Exo SleeveCase easily. The Exo SleeveCase’s flap is held down with velcro. I didn’t mind the loud sounds that the velcro made but would prefer if the flap was held down with magnets.
All WaterField’s products are made in San Francisco and they proudly put their “made in” tag on their products with their toll free number and web address. But the placement of the tag is a bit confusing to me since part of the tag is covered by the back pocket. It would’ve been better if they relocated the "made in” tag to the outside of the back pocket.
The Exo SleeveCase price range from $49 – $54 (for the SleeveCase only). The shoulder strap, d-rings, and piggyback pouch costs extra. The price is extremely good for a sturdy protection for the iPad on the go. I really liked how I could customize the Exo SleeveCase to the way I like.
House design
Since everyone is curious…here’s the rough draft of the house design.
Basement studio
Done soundproofing the walls of the basement studio and on-air room. The on-air room is temporarily the laundry room since I’m repainting that now..lol
